Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Kronad collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit Kronad.ng, use our mobile applications, shop with us, contact support, or choose to use our AI-assisted features.
1. Who we are
In this policy, “Kronad,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of Kronad.ng and the Kronad mobile applications. This policy applies to personal information handled through our website, apps, customer-support channels, and related shopping services.
Our services are intended for users in Nigeria. Where applicable, we handle personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other relevant data-protection requirements.
2. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you use Kronad. It may include:
- Account and contact information: name, email address, telephone number, account identifiers, and profile details you provide.
- Order and delivery information: items ordered, transaction references, delivery address, delivery instructions, and order status. Payment providers process payment credentials; Kronad does not intend to store full card numbers.
- Support communications: messages, requests, and files you send to our support team.
- Technical and usage information: device and browser details, IP address, app and site interactions, diagnostic events, and approximate location inferred from network information.
- Information you submit to optional features: prompts, preferences, and photos or other inputs you choose to provide to AI-assisted tools.
Please avoid sending sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request and you are comfortable sharing it.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage accounts, process orders, arrange delivery, and provide customer support.
- Operate features you request, including optional AI-assisted tools and image-based experiences.
- Send order confirmations, service notices, and responses to your requests.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the security, reliability, and usability of our services.
- Detect fraud or misuse, protect users and Kronad, and comply with legal obligations.
- Send marketing communications where permitted. You can opt out of marketing messages; service and transaction messages may still be sent when needed.
4. Legal grounds for processing
Where data-protection law requires a legal ground, we rely on the ground appropriate to the activity. This may include performing a contract with you, taking steps you request before a contract, meeting a legal obligation, pursuing legitimate interests such as service security and improvement, or your consent. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it; withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before it was withdrawn.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share it only as needed with:
- Service providers that support hosting, app and website operations, customer support, security, and diagnostics.
- Payment providers that process payments and provide transaction status or references.
- Delivery and logistics partners that need order and delivery details to fulfil your order.
- AI or other feature providers when needed to operate a feature you choose to use. Inputs you submit may be processed by that provider to return the requested result.
- Authorities or other parties when disclosure is required by law, legal process, or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
Our service providers are permitted to process information for the services they provide to us and subject to appropriate contractual safeguards.
6. AI features and images
Some Kronad features let you submit a prompt, preference, or image to receive an AI-assisted result. These inputs are used to provide the feature you selected and may be processed by the providers that help us operate it.
Only submit images and information you have the right to provide. Avoid including other people, especially children, unless you have an appropriate reason and permission. AI-generated suggestions may be incomplete or inaccurate and are not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or other expert advice.
8. International transfers
Some providers that support Kronad may process information in countries outside Nigeria. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take steps required by applicable data-protection law to protect it and support lawful transfers.
9. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including maintaining your account, completing orders, providing support, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and meeting legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Retention periods vary by data type and circumstances. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
11. Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction or objection to certain processing, or a copy of information you provided. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent and lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
To make a privacy request, email support@kronad.ng. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
To request deletion of your Kronad account, see our Account Deletion page. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate record-keeping, dispute, or fraud-prevention purposes.
12. Children
Kronad accounts and purchases are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without an appropriate legal basis and required safeguards. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the request.
13. Third-party links and services
Our services may link to websites or services operated by others. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to review. Kronad is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services we do not operate.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we handle information, we will provide additional notice where required.
